Welcome to Taieri Swim Club

Welcome to Taieri Swimming Club.

Taieri Swim Club operates at Mosgiel Community Pool.  Our lessons and squads run from September to the end of March.  We cater for learn to swim through to competitive squads.   Children must be 5 years and older.   Membership is limited by pool space and availability of coaches.  Currently the club has approximately 100 swimmers.  15% of our members are registered competitive swimmers.  More information can be found under About Us.

Thank you to all our volunteer coaches.  We could not operate without you.  All our coaches are qualified or working towards their qualification.

2017/18 Season Michelle Summers will be coaching squad, assisted by Courtland Ellis.

Squad sessions, Tuesday/Thursday 6-7pm and Saturdays 10.30-12noon. 

Junior Groups Wednesdays 6-7pm and Saturdays 9-10.30 (depending on which group you are).

Otago Winter Champs

Otago Winter Champs consist of 3 short sessions.  We had 6 swimmers compete with great results.

Special congrats to Jordan who broke her own Club Record for 100 IM

Laura - 3pbs and a 3rd

Keira - 2 pbs, one 1st, 2nd and two 3rds

Harry 4 pbs, 2 firsts and 3 seconds

Jordan 3 pbs, 1st, four 2nds and 3rd

Sophie 2 pbs, 3 first, 2nd, 3rd

Jessie 4 pbs, one first

Biggest Taieri pb went to Keira in her 100 fr, a pb by 4.26sec, narrowly edging out Harry who took off 4.15sec in his 200 IM.

Upcoming Meets 

Zenith Meet

The Zenith Sprint Meet will be held at Moana Pool on Saturday 9 September – https://otago.swimming.org.nz/event.php?friendly_id=2017-zenith-sprint-meet-event. This meet is open to both competitive & club swimmers. All entries to Susan by Wednesday 23 August. Entry fees are $6 per event.

Colin Walker Memorial Meet (Queenstown)
